2021 Cat’N Around Catskill – Cat #10
“Kitty Le Pew” by Jessica L. Walker
Sponsored by: The Heart of Catskill Association
Description: Kitty Le Pew is a fun-loving representation of sweet and sour. The flowers are colorful and fragrant, while the kitty is black and white, resembling a skunk, but is still adorable. This design is a reminder that there is always a silver lining.
About the Artist: Jessica Walker is an independent artist and 3rd year University student out of Albany, NY. Jessica runs an Etsy shop where she sells her art, as well as a YouTube channel in her spare time. At university, she studies theater and acting, and recently has started to audition for small local projects. Jessica was first introduced to the Catskill Cats project through her mother, who is a photographer. The two of them would go through the scavenger hunt of incredibly creative cats and take pictures. Already being indulged in the arts, Jessica has always found the work of other creatives to be inspiring. Last year, 2020, was the first year that she was given the opportunity to create her very own cat. It was a lot of work and very different from the projects that she had done before, but it was also such a fun experience, and a best memory of the year. Jessica is very excited for another year of this unique community art project.
