“Bacchus” by Elaine Wilson

Description: Bacchus was the god of wine, fruitfulness, and vegetation. I’ve covered this kitty with grape leaves and grapes. He is a tribute to the vineyards of New York State. I used acrylic paints and bondo.

About the Artist: I have been an artist my entire life, attending Russel College and the College of St. Rose for Fine Arts. I worked in advertising and now pursue my own creative interest. Oil paints are my favorite medium. I work on canvas, wood, furniture, wall and ceiling murals. I enjoy participating in public art projects. I have worked on projects for “Best in Show” in Hudson, New York, “En Pointe” for the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga, New York, “Play Me I’m Yours” in Albany, New York, and “Nipper” in Albany, New York.
