“Benny” by Barbara McGeachen

Description: Benny is a very much-loved rescue kitten. I have raised him since he was 3 weeks old. On his adoption day at the shelter, it was discovered he had a heart murmur, and he was declared unadoptable. The shelter offered him to me to “foster forever.” So far he is just fine!

About the Artist: Barbara McGeachen is from Rensselaerville, NY. Her inspiration comes from her love of all animals and nature. She enjoys capturing and freezing moments in time, both real and imagined that warm the heart and soul, or maybe make you smile. Barbara has worked mainly in watercolor since 2010, She has helped beautify our area with her submissions to the Cat’N Around Catskill cats and the Quack Quack Greenville ducks projects. She has also been creating custom stained glass pieces for about 20 years. Barbara is mainly self-taught and exhibits her artwork in Albany, Greene, and Columbia counties. She is a member of the Greene County Council on the Arts, the Bethlehem Art Association, Wednesday Watercolor Workshop in Catskill, and Stanly Maltzman’s Tuesday Night Sketcher Group at the Greenville Public Library.
